Baccarat
(pronounced bah-ca-rah) is the French version of an Italian
game that was introduced in France in the late 15th century.
Easy to learn and fun to play, Baccarat
is a game to be enjoyed by everyone, even though it is often
considered the most glamorous game in the casino.
How
to Play
CHANGING BETS
Change
your bet by selecting an amount using the Bet Console in
the lower screen.
If
you raise the amount higher than your current balance permits,
your bet will not be placed. In this case, either increase
your balance by depositing funds, or reduce your bet. The
bet limit is based on the table selected.
PLACING
BETS
Each
time you click on the bet amount it will either raise or
lower your bet.
For
example, to change from the initial bet of $5 to $10, simply
click on the + or - chips. The bet amount has now been raised
or lowered to your desired amount.
STARTING
THE DEAL
A
minimum bet of $1 (distributed among any of the three possible
bets) is required to start the deal. If the total bet placed
on the table is at least the required minimum, the DEAL
button will light up, indicating that you may click it to
start the deal. Once the DEAL button is clicked, bets can
no longer be changed or removed, and the game begins with
the initial deal.
If
you have already played a hand of Baccarat and you have
sufficient funds to repeat the previous bet, the DEAL button
may be enabled without any bets on the table. In this case,
clicking the DEAL button will start a new hand using the
same bets made for the previous hand. This is a quick way
of repeating the previous wager without having to click
in the designated betting areas to place your bets again.
PLAYING
THE GAME
Baccarat
requires no intervention by the player once the cards have
been dealt. There are specific rules (see THE RULES) that
dictate whether the player or banker receives a third card,
but these rules are carried out entirely by the dealer.
The player does not need to be familiar with the "third
card" rules.

OBJECTIVE OF
THE GAME The player's objective is to correctly predict
which of the two hands(Player or Banker) will have a point
total closest to 9.HOW TO PLAYThis version of Baccarat
uses eight decks of cards. The deck is reshuffled after
each hand. The Bets: The main game is a wager on the Player's
hand or the Banker's hand:
- Player
Pays even money.
- Banker
Pays even money minus a 5% commission which is collected
on winning bets.
- Tie
Pays 9 to 1 if the Player and Banker points total tie.
Select
an initial bet amount then click in the designated betting
areas. The valid betting areas are in the center. Place
your bet in the "BANKER" row to bet on the bank's hand,
or in the "PLAYER" row to bet on the player's hand. To bet
on a tie, place your bet in the "TIE" area. The minimum
bet is $1 and the maximum bet is $100.
The Deal: The player is dealt the first and third card while
the second and fourth cards are dealt to the bank. Specific
rules dictate whether a third card is drawn for the player
or the bank. The player's hand is completed first. The Cards:
Aces count as 1. All face cards and tens count as 0. All
other cards are counted at face value. Each hands point
total is the last digit of the sum of their cards. So for
example:
| 4
+ 3 = 7. |
This
hand's point total is 7. |
| Q
+ 5 = 5 |
This
hand's point total is 5. |
| K
+ J = 0. |
This
hand's point total is 0. |
| 2
+ 10 + 4 = 6. |
This
hand's point total is 6. |
| K
+ 5 + 6 = 11. |
This
hand's point total is 1. |
| 8
+ 4 + 7 = 19. |
This
hand's point total is 9. |
The
winner of the game is the hand whose point total is closest
to 9. In the case of a tie, the bets on the Bank and the
Player are stand-offs and neither the Bank or Player wins
nor loses unless the Player has placed a wager on TIE.RULES

Payouts
A
successful wager on:
Player:
Pays even money (1:1).
Banker:
Pays even money minus a 5% commission which is collected
on winning bets.
For example, if the player wins $20 betting on the Banker
hand, a $1 commission is collected and the player receives
$19.
Tie:
Pays 9:1 if the Player and Banker totals are equal.
If
both hands tie, it is considered a push and any bets made
on the Player or Banker are neither won nor lost. If the
player has made a Tie bet, he or she is paid 8:1 on the
bet. A Tie bet is always lost if the two hand totals are
not equal.
